OUR EXPERIENCE AT THE SAN FELIPE TAX OFFICE

When we went to the San Felipe Tax Office to ask about the payment of the taxes, we were told that in order to pay the taxes we would have to show:

• Title to the property in our name
• I.D. proving we are the people listed on the Title
• A survey by a licensed person authorized by Mexicali County
• A property appraisal by a licensed person authorized by Mexicali County

The San Felipe Tax Office knew nothing about the bill that El Dorado Ranch sent.

Additionally, the San Felipe Tax Office said that Mexicali County does not send tax statements to owners of property. It is the obligation of the person owning property to contact them regarding tax payment.

The San Felipe Tax Office also said that the County has not appraised the El Dorado Ranch land and it would be quite sometime before they did - that El Dorado Ranch will pay the taxes on the two large lots they have control.
